What was it like to train at ACAT? Graduates share their experience and then-trainees on the course give us a glimpse into the classroom.

Graduates share their experience and then-trainees on the course give us a glimpse into the classroom.

Graduates of ACAT's Alexander Technique Teacher Training Course share their experiences of training at ACAT. Located in New York City, the American Center for the Alexander Technique trained people to become teachers of the Alexander Technique. ACAT hosted the first - and longest running - Teacher Certification Program in the US, from 1967 to 2018. Performers, people managing chronic pain, and those seeking deeper self-knowledge expand current professional skills and/or made mid-life career transitions. ACAT was also a membership organization dedicated to continuing professional development opportunities for teachers of the technique and promoting the Alexander Technique at large.

Thanks to ACAT alumni Jeffrey Glazer, Sara Vasiliou Witold Fitz-Simon, Claudia Walk, Anastasia Pridlides, Aik Lee, Helen Farmer, Aviv Nisenzwieg, Cate McNider, Ina Paris and Daniel Singer for appearing in the video.
